Kyle Bartley exit on the cards at West Brom despite what has happened
Kyle Bartley’s time as a West Brom player could come to an end in the summer transfer window.
After such an optimistic start to the campaign, West Brom‘s season ended horrendously, with another year of Championship football awaiting them.
A dreadful run of form ultimately led to the sacking of Tony Mowbray, while also ending any hopes of achieving a top-six finish.
Mowbray took a lot of the blame for those shortcomings, though the players need to take responsibility as well, and Bartley is at the top of that list.

West Brom could look to move Bartley on
Bartley has been a disaster for Albion this season, and the news of his recent contract extension didn’t go down overly well at The Hawthorns.
However, according to DOOD (4 May), Albion may still look to move the veteran defender on in the summer despite that clause only being triggered recently.
| West Brom | Appearances | Starts | Average rating |
| Bartley | 31 | 30 | 6.95 |
The 33-year-old is one of the highest earners at West Brom, and very few would argue with the sentiment that he hasn’t impressed anywhere near enough to warrant a longer stay.
If the Baggies want to progress next season, players like him need to be binned, and it seems as though they are willing to do that.

West Brom have a crucial summer ahead
West Brom, first and foremost, need to get the next managerial appointment right after the failure of the one involving Mowbray, and they need to do it swiftly.
Once that is out of the way, the Baggies need to recruit very well in the summer to rectify the lack of quality among the squad that has ultimately prevented them from achieving anything over the last few seasons.
This summer is going to be a huge one for Albion, and they will be afforded no margin for error, nor should they after the disappointment of this season.
