West Brom star Karlan Grant reacts to exit announcement, Ben Foster also messages

West Brom forward Karlan Grant has joined Ben Foster in reacting after an end-of-season exit was confirmed.

The Baggies finished the campaign in generally disappointing fashion after missing out on a playoff spot despite holding one for many months of the year.

This came despite a 5-3 win on the final day against Luton Town, which subjected the away side to relegation to League One.

The result saw the final curtain fall on the 24/25 season for the Albion, with Grant reacting to the latest news of an exit.

Grant in message after summer exit confirmed

There is no doubt that the 27-year-old had a stellar beginning to the second-tier campaign under Carlos Corberan in surprising fashion.

This came after spending a season on loan at Cardiff City after failing to live up to expectations throughout his initial spell at The Hawthorns.

It has to be said that those struggles continued somewhat after the departure of the Spanish head coach, but he still represents a positive asset in B71.

As a result, there will be hope that the forward will stick around, unlike Grady Diangana, moving into the new season under a new head coach.

The same can’t be said for former Huddersfield Town teammate Jonathan Hogg, who has been released by the Terriers after the end of the campaign.

This brings to an end a 12-year spell with the Yorkshire outfit with Grant reacting to this news via Instagram on 4 April.

He said, “Legend.” This was joined by ex-Baggies star Ben Foster, who added two clapping emojis in the comment section.

Grant future hangs in balance at West Brom

There are plenty of questions hanging around the Black Country right now as a managerless Baggies side faces a number of potential exits.

Semi Ajayi could be set to land a new contract, but there could be a whole host of other big names who opt to leave the Midlands in the summer.

Although Grant won’t leave for free, there is every chance that a move elsewhere in the Championship could be possible in the coming weeks.

It is certainly set to be an interesting period for Shilen Patel and the Albion in what is bound to be a turbulent window.
