West Brom told to sign Will Lankshear again after new announcement
West Brom have already announced changes to their squad after the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Baggies are still searching for a new manager after they sacked Tony Mowbray last month.
However, the lack of a permanent head coach has not stopped West Brom from making changes to their team as they prepare for the new campaign.
This week, the Baggies announced that trio Adam Armstrong, Mason Holgate and Will Lankshear would be returning to their parent clubs after their loan spells expired.
Yet, many of The Hawthorns faithful want to see the latter star return to the West Midlands club next campaign.
West Brom fans feel Lankshear ‘wasn’t given a chance’
West Brom signed Lankshear from Tottenham in January to add depth to their attacking options.
However, since he joined the Midlands club, the striker was given limited chances in the Black Country.
Overall, he made 11 appearances for West Brom and did not find the back of the net in any of these matches.

Yet, many Baggies fans would like to see the 20-year-old make a return next season, believing that he “wasn’t given a chance”.

As much as the youngster clearly has potential, he isn’t going to suddenly net 10-15 goals next season in the Championship.
If West Brom are going the loan route, then they must bring in players who are ready now rather than in a few years.
Promotion to the Premier League is vital, and the West Midlands side cannot simply be signing players because they put effort in.
A ruthless nature is needed in the summer to elevate West Brom back into the playoffs and the promotion mix, with Tottenham struggling massively themselves.
Unfortunately for Lankshear, if he was not good enough to get into a poor Baggies team this season, he is simply not ready for this level yet.
Hopefully, West Brom already have a list of targets in mind for the incoming manager for potential replacements to finally add a threatening back-up striker to the team.
