West Brom make approach to sign Premier League forward to get deal done quickly
West Brom are already aiming to strengthen their squad for next season, and they have now identified a key target.
West Brom are yet to find a manager to succeed Tony Mowbray, with James Morrison currently in interim charge, but they are already aiming to be active in the transfer market to beat off competition from other clubs.
While permanent signings may wait until the new West Brom manager arrives, loan deals may need to be sped up given that some young talents have a lot of demand.
One Premier League starlet has now been identified as a target by sporting director Andrew Nestor, and West Brom have now made an approach for him.

Tottenham sensation Jamie Donley targeted by West Brom
West Brom have now reportedly sent an enquiry for Tottenham forward Jamie Donley, who has been impressive on loan in League One.
Birmingham World have reported that an enquiry has been sent over whether Spurs will let the forward leave on another loan.
The 20-year-old has been outstanding at Leyton Orient, leading League One for assists and helping them reach the play-offs.

It has now been claimed that talks are confirmed between the two clubs over Donley, and West Brom have entered the race early to beat off the competition.
The deal is set to be a straight loan with no option to buy, and will follow West Brom’s loan capture of Will Lankshear from Tottenham in January.
West Brom need Leyton Orient to fall short in League One play-offs
Donley has excelled as an inside forward playing just behind the striker at Orient, and he would add a lot of creativity to West Brom’s attacking ranks.
There is no shortage of interest in the 20-year-old, and Orient would certainly be keen on bringing him back for another loan.
West Brom, therefore, need Orient to fall short in the play-offs. If they are promoted to the Championship, Donley may elect to remain in a familiar environment with regular play-time in the same division as the Baggies.
However, if Orient fall short, Spurs and Donley may decide on a Championship loan instead, which would put West Brom in the driving seat for his signature.
