Pep Lijnders on three-man list to become next West Brom manager
West Brom have former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders on their list, with two other names being considered at The Hawthorns.
Bilkul Football are seemingly working overtime to replace Tony Mowbray at the Baggies, with the upcoming campaign set to commence soon.
Shilen Patel will be eager to get a new head coach at the Albion soon, with fans expecting nothing but good things from the American owners.
While the former Birmingham City boss’ appointment was poor in hindsight, the hierarchy at the West Midlands outfit were left scrambling after Carlos Corberan’s unexpected departure, but they now have time to make the right decision, with Lijnders on the radar.

It’s been confirmed by two “big-time agents” that the trio are in contention at the Hawthorns to replace Mowbray.
The insider wrote on X (16 May): “The club are keen on Ramsay, Selles and Ljinders.
“Two currently working big-time agents in the game to date have confirmed these are in the frame.”
Bilkul being diligent with new manager at The Hawthorns
Bilkul are right to be wary at The Hawthorns after the appointment of Mowbray turned out to be disappointing.
Several names like QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes, Portsmouth boss John Mousinho and Tottenham coach Ryan Mason have been linked with the top job at the Albion.
Patel is seemingly being diligent with who takes charge of the Baggies in the upcoming campaign.
Lijnders doesn’t have the best of records as a first-team head coach, leaving Red Bull Salzburg midway through the 2024/25 season after being appointed in May 2024.
Bilkul completed their takeover at the Albion early in 2024 and have since taken positive steps to restore stability at the West Midlands outfit.
Most of the American owners’ decisions at The Hawthorns have panned out, but there have been some questionable decisions recently.
Alex Palmer’s departure in the winter transfer window raised eyebrows, and the Baggies arguably didn’t strengthen their squad adequately to compete for a play-offs spot.
Mowbray’s arrival was celebrated at the time, but it ended up being a poor decision from the hierarchy.
