West Brom have Frabotta plan in place as another Hawthorns exit nears
West Brom face a critical summer if they are to prepare for a Championship promotion push next season.
The Baggies are still without a manager as they search for the right person to take over from Tony Mowbray, who was sacked in April.
On the player front, a mass overhaul is in process after 14 players were released from the Hawthorns.
Another player who could depart the West Midlands club is Gianluca Frabotta, who only arrived in England last year.

Frabotta’s next destination revealed
Carlos Corberan signed Frabotta on a free transfer from Juventus last summer, but the move has not worked out.
The left-back only made six Championship appearances this season, totalling just 79 minutes.
Frabotta’s 2024/25 Championship statistics | Total |
Appearances | 6 |
Minutes | 79 |
Touches | 9.5 |
Accurate passes | 3.8 (74%) |
Given his lack of involvement, it is unsurprising that he looks set to leave The Hawthorns after less than a year.
It appears the West Midlands outfit has an idea in place for the Italian’s next move, and it will come as no shock.
The plan is for West Brom to sell Frabotta back to an Italian club as he wants to move back home, according to Dood on X (20 May), as he wants to return to his homeland.
West Brom must rebuild for Premier League return
At the start of the season, West Brom looked to be in promotion contention.
However, as their form slipped away, so did Corberan, who departed for Valencia in December.
The Baggies were unable to find a return to form and drifted out to ninth, considerably short of their play-off aspirations.
With 14 players released, the Baggies are certainly going to need to bring in a host of players for the next campaign.
West Brom require more firepower to challenge Josh Maja, who finished the season with 12 goals.
The Hawthorns club will also need to invest in the hub of their defence, with Semi Ajayi and Mason Holgate among the players departing.
Of course, while the Baggies need numbers, they must also sign quality if they want to improve on their ninth-placed finish.
The first step is securing the right manager to lead them forward, as West Brom enters a new era.
