West Brom complete more work at The Hawthorns as image emerges

West Brom have continued their preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.

The Baggies will be once again aiming for promotion to the Premier League as they enter their fifth year in the Championship, another without parachute payments.

West Brom are still yet to appoint a permanent manager to take the reins after Tony Mowbray was sacked.

However, this has not stopped the Black Country club from making changes ready for the new season.

West Brom plant more hawthorn trees outside of stadium

The Hawthorns has been West Brom’s ground since 1900, and has overseen plenty of unforgettable moments in the Baggies’ history.

Therefore, many supporters see the stadium as the pride and joy of the Black Country club.

This is not forgotten by West Brom’s owner, Shilen Patel, and he has spent plenty of time and money completing work on the ground in recent weeks.

Safe standing was recently installed at The Hawthorns after the 2024/25 campaign concluded.

Now, Jon Round shared images on X (23 May) of new hawthorn trees being planted around the stadium.

So far, 20 have been put into the ground, and it is unknown if there are plans to plant more, with fans happy with the developments.

Patel deserves credit for his work off field at West Brom

While Patel may face criticism for his handling of West Brom’s managerial situation, he deserves a lot of credit for his work at The Hawthorns.

Many owners across the country have ignored their stadiums, which has caused them to become derelict and unenjoyable for supporters.

Yet, West Brom seemingly don’t have this problem with Patel, as the owner continues to make improvements to help fan experience.

Hopefully, if the Baggies do make it back to the Premier League, this will result in a possible expansion or renovation of The Hawthorns, as the demand for tickets will no doubt go up.
