West Brom react to Tom Fellows announcement

Tom Fellows was one of the few to enjoy a sensational season at The Hawthorns for West Brom.

Fan-favourite Fellows exploded into life at the start of the Championship campaign, forming an unbelievable relationship with Josh Maja under Carlos Corberan.

The academy graduate provided five assists in the first seven matches as they charged to the top of the table, only to miss out on the top six altogether.

His talent was apparent on the last day of the season, scoring twice and gaining an assist within 62 minutes in the eight-goal thriller with Luton Town.

Summer turmoil is already brewing at West Brom, with speculation over player exits and transfer deals while they remain managerless.

Fellows given exciting opportunity

Following his successful season at West Brom, the winger has now been called up for England’s training camp ahead of the U21 European Championships this summer.

Fellows made two appearances for England Under-21s last year, scoring once, and his performances in the Championship this season have clearly caught the eye of Lee Carsley again.

West Brom took to X to share their thoughts on the honour, with a picture of Fellows in his England kit, captioned: “Our Young Lion.”

The summer tournament could bring more attention to the young winger, as transfer rumours have already emerged.

Fellows could still leave West Brom

Fellows has been crucial to the Albion’s season, and certainly is an asset they will look to keep at The Hawthorns after Grady Diangana and John Swift were released by the Baggies.

Yet Fellows may be forced to leave this summer, as the Albion could look to charge a premium fee and profit from the academy graduate to help with any PSR concerns.

Birmingham are in the running to sign the attacker, after their promotion to the Championship and likely another massive budget to spend.

But Fellows has also attracted attention from higher up, with Premier League club Everton showing an interest, which West Brom will be wary of.

The Merseyside giants could become a more attractive option for the West Brom academy graduate, as they move to their new stadium under American ownership.

With a new manager yet to be confirmed, it is hard to plan for the future, which everyone at The Hawthorns will hope includes Fellows.
