Eric Ramsay now odds-on favourite for West Brom job despite new exit update
West Brom are still in the process of recruiting a new manager, despite sacking Tony Mowbray at the end of April.
Shilen Patel is keen to take his time with this appointment, ensuring that the right decision is made ahead of the summer transfer window.
Countless names have been linked with the vacancy so far, including Ryan Mason and John Mousinho.
However, Eric Ramsay is now in pole position, tipped to make the move from Minnesota United.

Ramsay favourite for move to West Brom
The appointment of Mowbray did not represent a clear continuation from Carlos Corberan, and Patel is now expected to set a blueprint for the direction he wants to go in.
With the search having gone on for some time now, it’s not surprising that there have been numerous names linked with taking the hot seat at The Hawthorns.
It had been reported that Mason was considering leaving Tottenham to take up the managerial post in the Black Country, being odds-on favourite at the time.
However, it seems as though that potential move could be off with the bookmakers now changing their odds dramatically in recent hours.
Ramsay is now the odds-on favourite for the job, with Bet Victor (26 May) slashing his odds to 1/2 for him to take the role.

Ramsay appointment a risk for West Brom
Not many would have heard of Ramsay before he was linked with a move to The Hawthorns this summer, so it’s not easy to make a big judgment at this stage.
However, given his lack of experience so far, it’s fair to say that the potential appointment could be a risk for the Albion.
The 33-year-old has a solid record with Minnesota United, winning 23 of his 53 games as boss so far and could well do a strong job in the Championship, too.

Minnesota United | 43.4% |
However, you could understand reservations from the supporters if this is the direction that the owner goes in, with play-offs very much the expectation in the second-tier next season.
With Mason also lacking that mainline experience, a pattern is forming in this manager search.
Whichever route the Baggies want to go in, one thing is certain. West Brom have to make a decision soon, with the summer transfer window quickly creeping up and plenty of preparation needed.
