West Brom and Birmingham fans all agree after major European transfer news
West Brom and Birmingham supporters are usually locked in heated debate and on opposite sides of the argument.
The two clubs are both based in the second city of England and enjoy a fierce rivalry when their sides meet on the pitch.
The teams last met in the Championship at The Hawthorns in February 2024 with the Baggies coming out on top in a 1-0 victory.
However, they have been united by a new major transfer development from Europe.

Oliver Burke seals Union Berlin switch
Burke has played for both clubs, with a stint at West Brom between 2017 to 2020 and a loan at their rivals in the 2023-24 season.
A report from Florian Plettenberg (27 May) confirmed that the Scottish forward has completed a move to Union Berlin.
It stated that the former Albion man was set to join the German outfit on a free transfer with contracts already being signed.
West Brom and Birmingham fans baffled by Burke move
Considering the fact that the 28-year-old has notched just 17 goals since 2019, supporters have been left baffled by his latest switch.
The Scotsman has failed to impose himself at any club but still seems able to secure high-profile transfers despite no evidence that he will cause problems for opposition defences.
Most players end up in the non leagues after a few poor spells. This bloke hasn’t done anything since his Nottingham Forest days yet has played for: RB Leipzig, West Brom, Celtic, Sheffield Utd, Millwall, Werder Bremen, Birmingham & now Union Berlin. Give his agent a knighthood. https://t.co/eiZWPwQFVD

How does Oliver Burke still manage to find clubs, must have one of the best agents in the game. Genuinely one of the worst players I’ve ever witnessed in a blues shirt in recent years 😂 #bcfc https://t.co/Yf0PQQPWwH

His stint in the West Midlands with Albion was particularly poor, he was signed for £15million but failed to take a spot in the first-team as they were relegated to the second-tier.
He would make just five more league appearances and move to Celtic then Alaves on loan before leaving for Sheffield United in a swap deal that brought Callum Robinson to the Black Country.
He scored just once for the Blades in 25 Premier League matches and was loaned to Millwall, where he notched just four goal.
He moved to Werder Bremen, but his time in Germany was not a success, and his spell with the Blues saw him suffer another relegation as he failed to contribute in 21 appearances.
It is not surprising that supporters are baffled by the move, it is more surprising that he has earned himself another big move after years of failure.
