Sheffield United twist emerges in West Brom bid to seal Diouf transfer
West Brom are set for a busy June as major changes are likely to take place at the Baggies.
The Black Country club are now preparing for the 2025/26 Championship season after their failure to qualify for the play-offs this campaign.
While a manager is yet to be appointed, West Brom look set to make an official approach for Ryan Mason in the coming days.
On top of this, the Baggies still active in the transfer market, and are attempting to seal the transfer of Gora Diouf.

West Brom face competition for Gora Diouf with Sheffield United interested
One player West Brom have been targeting is defender Gora Diouf.
The 21-year-old is coming off the back of a fantastic season in the Swiss Super League with FC Sion.
However, he is out of contract in the summer, which is set to cause a race for the defender’s signature.

According to Footmercato (28 May), multiple clubs from across Europe are interested in Diouf.
In the Championship, both Sheffield United and Swansea are keen to bring the defender in, with multiple Swiss and Turkish sides also in the race.
On top of this, French sides, including FC Lorient, are pursuing a deal and could quickly go on the offensive.

Gora Diouf would be a bargain for West Brom
On a free transfer, little can go wrong for West Brom if they were to sign Diouf.
At just 21 years old, he has plenty of potential and has just shone in a league with European regulars.
The Hawthorns side are in dire need of younger players in their first-team squad, and Diouf would fit the criteria.
Now, West Brom must make the centre-back one of their top targets this summer and ensure that the other Championship clubs interested do not add him to their squad.
If not, it would certainly damage the Baggies’ ambitions to reach the Premier League next season.
