Mikey Moore signs – Tottenham trio that could follow Ryan Mason to West Brom

Ryan Mason appears to be on the verge of taking over at West Brom, which could be good news for the Baggies for several reasons.

West Brom have been on the hunt for a permanent manager since Tony Mowbray was sacked in April.

Talks are progressing positively with Mason, with Tottenham ready to release the 33-year-old from his contract early [BBC Sport].

Therefore, it looks as though the former midfielder could soon begin work in the West Midlands, which could provide the Baggies with some useful transfer connections to Tottenham.

Jamie Donley

After making waves in Spurs’ academy, Donley was sent out on loan to Leyton Orient this season, where he enjoyed a standout campaign, and the youngster could be a useful addition at The Hawthorns, having previously been linked with West Brom.

Still only 19, the Spurs teenager provided a remarkable 10 assists in League One, more than any other player in the division across the 2024/25 season.

As a result, Donley was named Young Player of the Season and voted Player of the Season by the Orient faithful. The playmaker is deserving of a step-up, and a Championship move under a familiar, trusting face like Mason could be the perfect next step in his development.

Donley’s proven creativity, sharp eye for goal, and ability to operate across the attacking line would be a huge asset for a West Brom side looking to add dynamism and challenge for promotion.

Manor Solomon

Solomon joined Tottenham on a free transfer in 2023 but saw his first season in North London largely derailed by a meniscus injury.

While he showed glimpses of his direct running and trickery, the emergence of other attacking options at Spurs could see him surplus to requirements.

His ability to beat a man and create chances would be a significant boost for the Baggies’ attack.

West Brom will likely face competition for his signature after a successful loan at newly promoted Leeds United.

Solomon would not be cheap, but if Mason can pull off this signing, he will add guaranteed goals, having scored 10 for Leeds during the most recent season in the Championship.

Mikey Moore

At just 17 years old, Moore is widely considered one of the brightest talents in English football.

He has already broken records at Tottenham, becoming their youngest ever Premier League player and the youngest Englishman to score in a major European competition.

While Spurs are keen to integrate him into their first-team plans, a full season of regular Championship football under a manager who knows him and trusts him implicitly, like Mason, could be invaluable for his development.

Moore’s dazzling dribbling, pace, and eye for goal would add a serious spark to West Brom’s attack, and a loan move would signal a huge statement of intent from the Baggies.
