Ryan Mason already wants Tottenham attacker at West Brom after talks
West Brom will be hoping that their proposed appointment of Ryan Mason will reap benefits on the pitch in more ways than one.
Tottenham’s assistant manager is locked in talks to take over at The Hawthorns, who is the leading candidate to replace Tony Mowbray.
While Mason mulls over the decision, confirmation is expected to happen on Sunday or Monday.
The 33-year-old will likely look to bring talent from Spurs with him, and there are already rumours on potential names.

Mason wants Mikey Moore at West Brom
While Mason does not have permanent managerial experience, he was caretaker manager for Spurs on two occasions.
Ultimately, bringing him to The Hawthorns would be a risk, but the former Hull City man has to start somewhere.
His relationship with the Lilywhites could bear fruit for West Brom, as he could bring players with him to the West Midlands.
One player who has already been linked with the Baggies is Tottenham winger Mikey Moore, according to DOOD (31 May).
Mikey Moore’s 2024/25 Europa League statistics | Total |
Appearances | 5 |
Goals | 1 |
Goal conversion | 11% |
Assists | 1 |
Touches | 42 |

The Baggies insider has reported that Mason would like to bring Moore with him to The Hawthorns.
He also says that talks between Mason and the Albion have gone well as they sort out his backroom staff and other matters.
Mikey Moore would be solid signing for the Baggies
The loan market is one that Championship clubs must utilise if they are to make their mark on the league.
Last season, West Brom loaned striker Adam Armstrong from Southampton, although he did not pay the dividends expected.
Armstrong yielded just three league goals in 16 appearances as the Baggies slipped to a disappointing ninth-place finish.
However, Dwight Gayle contributed 31 goal involvements when he was on loan for the Baggies in the 2018/19 season.
As for Moore, he is a player who has shown great promise this season, particularly in the Europa League.
His key goal and assist helped Tottenham to reach the Europa League final, where they defeated Manchester United 1-0.
Moore will find opportunities sparse next term, with Spurs fighting on all fronts, including the Champions League.
A move to a side gunning for the play-offs would be a smart move, especially with Mason at the helm.
