Patel and Nestor ‘finalise deal to hire new West Brom manager’
Shilen Patel and Andrew Nestor have worked tirelessly for weeks to hire West Brom’s new manager.
Tony Mowbray was sacked 41 days ago after he oversaw Albion’s failure to finish in the Championship play-off spots despite spending most of the season in the top six.
Carlos Corberan’s exit on Christmas Eve led to a botched first manager search for Baggies owners Bilkul Football WBA, who initially sought a move for Raphael Wicky before that deal broke down and they opted to bring Mowbray back to The Hawthorns.
While it’s been almost six weeks since Mowbray was dismissed by West Brom, it seems as though the hunt for his successor is on the verge of completion.

West Brom set to hire Ryan Mason as new manager
West Brom are reportedly finalising a deal to appoint Ryan Mason as their new manager.
The Telegraph reported on Saturday (31 May) that Mason, 33, will leave his role on Tottenham’s coaching team in the coming weeks to take up his first job in management at The Hawthorns.
Mason has worked alongside Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning the Europa League this season with the latter.
Despite Postecoglou’s feat at Spurs, it looks as though he could be sacked by Daniel Levy after breaking all the unwanted records in the Premier League this term.
Mason’s Tottenham contract expires at the end of this month, so he would likely be moving on regardless of what happens to Postecoglou as the former Spurs and Hull midfielder seeks a move into management.

Who will Ryan Mason sign as West Brom manager?
West Brom clearly have a link to Tottenham already after signing Will Lankshear on loan from them in the winter transfer window.
That’s something the Albion could look to exploit once Mason is on board because Tottenham’s youth set-up is one of the best in the country and the incoming Baggies boss will have strong links to the North London club that he can use.
Lankshear could always return to The Hawthorns after impressing in his half-season loan.
Mikey Moore would be a dream signing for the Black Country club.
West Brom insider DOOD has recently reported that he could be an option.
