West Brom ‘can strike double blow’ amid exciting Mikey Moore update
Mikey Moore is one of the best young prospects to come through Tottenham’s academy system.
The next step for the youngster is to gain regular minutes, and West Brom could be the ideal destination for Moore.
New manager Ryan Mason’s links to Tottenham could be key in bringing the England youth international to the club.
However, the Baggies won’t be the only club chasing Moore’s signature ahead of a crucial season.

Two-team race for Spurs academy ace Moore
Moore has been linked with a move away from Tottenham in search of valuable first-team experience.
Football Insider report (11 June) that both West Brom and Birmingham City are interested in signing the talented youngster.
Tottenham are keen for the 17-year-old to go out on loan, with regular Championship minutes seen as vital to his development.
It would be a tough but crucial test for the youngster – the challenge that could accelerate his progress. Linking up with Mason at West Brom would only strengthen his path forward.
And not only would West Brom be strengthening their own attack, they would also be striking a blow to rivals Birmingham’s transfer plans in what would be a double boost.

Moore could spark life into West Brom’s front line
Last season, the Black Country club struggled in front of goal, managing just 57 goals across the Championship campaign.
Every team in the top six outscored the Baggies, who ultimately fell just short of the play-offs in a disappointing season.
2024/25 | Appearances | Goals |
Adam Armstrong | 16 | 3 |
Josh Maja | 26 | 12 |
Karlan Grant | 44 | 7 |
Daryl Dike | 11 | 1 |
Daryl Dike could offer a valuable outlet next season after spending much of the past two years sidelined through injury.
The USA striker was signed to be a focal point in attack but hadn’t had the chance to prove himself – until the final game of last season, when he featured in West Brom’s win over Luton.
Mason will also need to bring in a striker if the Baggies are to have a successful season and push for a return to the Premier League after a four-year absence.
Moore could be a step in the right direction, helping to strengthen West Brom’s attack and add much-needed goals.
However, the club will still need to add more quality and depth up front, with Lawrence Shankland reportedly in talks over a potential move to The Hawthorns.
Next season promises to be a long journey for fans at The Hawthorns, but with the right signings, they’ll have every reason to dream.
