West Brom ‘to seal excellent Nat Phillips transfer’ at The Hawthorns
West Brom want to bolster their defence with Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips this summer transfer window
The Englishman is attracting interest from West Brom [The Athletic], and it remains to be seen whether they can finalise a deal.
Semi Ajayi has left The Hawthorns, and the 28-year-old who spent this season on loan at Derby County could be an excellent addition at the Baggies.

Phillips would be good signing for West Brom this summer transfer window
Phillips would be a good signing for West Brom this summer, Lee Hendrie says.
The Sky Sports pundit feels the Baggies must recruit well in the loan market, with the Liverpool defender seen as an ideal option for them.
Hendrie feels the 28-year-old Englishman would fit in well at The Hawthorns and has given his backing for the centre-back’s move to the Albion.

Speaking to Football League World (14 June), the pundit said: “West Brom, I think this is where they’re going to have to recruit well in the loan market. I think centre-back Phillips would be a good signing for them. Having someone physical and having someone who’s got a presence in defence – I think they’ve always had that.
“I think a good potential signing for sure. Whether they play as a back four or back three, he can fit in and be that presence at the back. So yes, I think he’d be a good addition to West Brom for next season.”
Bilkul Football have a significant season coming up at the West Midlands outfit, and fans will expect them to get recruitment right to build a squad capable of competing for a play-offs spot.

Ryan Mason needs to be backed by Shilen Patel at The Hawthorns
Ryan Mason’s appointment at The Hawthorns has seen mixed reactions from supporters, but they will all be backing him once the season starts.
With Tony Mowbray’s replacement now in place, the Baggies must start signing quality players to give the former Tottenham assistant coach the right tools needed to be successful.
West Brom must also keep the likes of Torbjorn Heggem this summer amid interest from Italy, with the defender playing a key role in recent months.
The Albion arguably have to bolster every area of the pitch, but a new centre-back should also be one of the priorities.
Phillips will see his current contract at Liverpool expire at the end of June, leaving the West Midlands outfit with a no-brainer decision to make.
It would make sense for Shilen Patel to sanction a move for the 28-year-old on a free transfer and add depth to Mason’s squad.
West Brom fans endured a brutal campaign and will now want to see Bilkul turn the tide soon after the appointment of Tony Mowbray backfired.
Phillips’ situation is one to keep an eye on in B71, as a decision will surely be made soon.
