Shankland offered ‘crazy’ personal terms as West Brom deal remains on table
Lawrence Shankland is still weighing up a free transfer move to West Brom.
The Scotland international has emerged as a target for the Baggies after an offer was tabled to the forward after his exit from Hearts.
This brought to an end a three-year stint in the Scottish Premiership, with a switch to the Championship now on the cards at The Hawthorns.
An offer remains on the table in B71 as new personal terms have been tabled, as a transfer continues to hang in the balance.

Shankland offered terms amid West Brom interest
It is certainly going to be an interesting window as Ryan Mason looks set to kickstart his managerial career with the Albion.
Many had thought that the Englishman would point towards a youthful approach moving deeper into the transfer window in B71.
This has already seen Mikey Moore linked to West Brom, but experienced pros could also be utilised to create a squad balance.
A move for the 29-year-old forward could be the deal to begin the summer, representing a positive move on a free transfer from Hearts.
Stat | Lawrence Shankland |
Appearances | 137 |
Goals | 68 |
Assists | 20 |
This could be set to face a blow in the coming days after DOOD reported (17 June) that a “crazy offer” is on the table from Saudi Arabia.
This has seen more wages offered for Shankland than West Brom, with a deal now depending on if the Scot wants to move to the Middle East or not.
West Brom await Shankland transfer decision
As it stands, Albion do have positive options in attacking areas with Josh Maja and Daryl Dike still available in the West Midlands.
With that being said, the addition of new options wouldn’t go amiss, especially after the departure of winger Grady Diangana at the end of his contract.
That could see Shankland represent a positive option given his experience in a number of leagues, and his ability to play as a number nine or number 10 if required.
This could be perfect depth for Mason and his new squad, as he looks ahead to his debut campaign in the dugout.
