‘West Brom announcement days away’ as Hawthorns closure revealed
West Brom fans will be hoping to see multiple announcements from the Baggies over the coming weeks.
Ryan Mason is still waiting for his first signing since joining the Black Country club as manager.
West Brom have been strongly linked with Lawrence Shankland, with The Hawthorns faithful eagerly awaiting an update on the pursuit.
However, transfer announcements are not the only thing that Baggies fans are excited about.

West Brom announce club shop closure for ‘stock taking’
West Brom’s new kit always incites excitement around The Hawthorns every time it is announced.
Fans were recently appalled by a Baggies concept kit, with it being compared to Wolves’ jersey.
With this year being the 125th anniversary of The Hawthorns, the West Brom faithful are anticipating a big reveal to celebrate the occasion.
Now, Baggies fans might not have to wait too much longer as West Brom announced on X (18 June) that their club shop will be closed on 19 June, “owing to a stock taking”.
This likely means that an announcement surrounding the new kit is close.
If West Brom need to close their shop due to a stock intake, it could mean that the Black Country club does not want fans to see what is coming in.
Therefore, the kit announcement could be days away based on the current information.
West Brom’s kit needs to celebrate The Hawthorns
Much of West Brom’s kit design will be judged on how it celebrates The Hawthorns’ 125th anniversary.
If the jersey ignores this, it will likely be criticised by the fans, with expectations high.
| The Hawthorns fact file | |
| Year built | 1900 |
| Tennants | West Brom (1900-) |
| Capacity | 26,688 |
| Record attendance | 64,815 v Arsenal, (1937) |
Given the work Shilen Patel has done around The Hawthorns this summer, it is unlikely that this will be ignored when they reveal the shirt.
Hopefully, the kit will be one to remember and help guide West Brom back to the Premier League, keeping it in the history books for more than one reason.
