West Brom outrage as ‘scandalous, ridiculous’ news emerges from The Hawthorns

Bilkul Football have enjoyed a largely positive start to their time in charge of West Brom.

The American investment group took over as the majority shareholders of the West Midlands outfit back in February and since then, their work has been well-received by the majority of Baggies fans.

Shilen Patel and Co. have made a brave decision on the footballing side of things by appointing Ryan Mason as the club’s new manager. It is Mason’s first permanent managerial job in senior men’s football, but there is plenty of optimism that his academy background could translate well to life at The Hawthorns.

West Brom’s owners have also received praise for a recent refurbishment at the ground, which is understood to have cost them a six-figure fee.

West Brom fans slam prices of new training wear

The release of the club’s new Macron kits and training wear is often an exciting part of the summer for West Brom fans.

The Baggies revealed their new training range on Friday (20 June), but it has drawn a largely mixed reaction from supporters.

Several fans have praised the designs from the club’s kit supplier Macron, but there are also plenty of people who have made their displeasure clear at the prices that the club have opted to charge.

A standard training top is priced at £39.99, while a long-sleeve quarter-zip version will set fans back £64.99. The new range also features a rain jacket, which is available for £99.99.

Those prices have understandably provided frustration among the fanbase.

West Brom fans should have an exciting season ahead

West Brom fans look set to have an exciting season ahead of them at The Hawthorns, regardless of their dismay at the latest announcement from their club.

The Baggies have spent the last four seasons below the Premier League, but there is genuine hope that that spell could come to an end next term.

Mason is relatively unproven in senior football, but he has a reputation as being a progressive and forward-thinking coach, who is particularly skilled at developing younger players.

That could be particularly good news for the duo of Tom Fellows and Isaac Price, who both continue to receive significant interest from the Premier League.

West Brom’s season ended in frustrating fashion in 2024/25, but if they start their campaign well in August, there is no reason why the Baggies cannot mount a genuine promotion push.
