West Brom send new message to Tom Fellows on England duty

Tom Fellows is set to be a key part of Ryan Mason’s West Brom side next season.

The winger had an excellent season last campaign, with 18 goal involvements, and featured in all but one Championship game.

Fellows is seen as an important piece of Mason’s outfit at The Hawthorns as they look to push for promotion to the Premier League, with his summer break put on hold.

Fellows hoping to be involved in key England fixture

The 21-year-old has been part of the England U-21 squad for this summer’s European Championships.

Fellows was called up to replace Jobe Bellingham, who is competing at the Club World Cup for Borussia Dortmund.

He was given his competitive debut by Lee Carsley in the final group game against Germany, coming off the bench just past the hour.

The academy graduate replaced Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri, but could not prevent the 2-1 loss to Die Mannschaft.

Carsley’s side managed to qualify from the group despite the loss and face another huge task in the first knockout round.

Ahead of the Young Lions’ quarter-final against Spain on Saturday, the Baggies have sent out a message of support for Fellows.

The meeting against Spain is a rematch of the 2023 final, which England won, and the Solihull man will be keen to play a part.

West Brom and Mason keen to keep hold of winger

Fellows impressing on an international level may not be the best news for his club or Mason.

West Brom may face potential PSR implications as an uncertain summer looms and the need to sell possibly increases.

The winger would be one player the Baggies could cash in on if the right offer comes along, given his high potential value.

Everton are thought to be fans of Fellows, having held an interest in him since the January window.

Birmingham City are also in the market for the 21-year-old, with the newly promoted side having the funds to spend, but they would surely be knocked back no matter what.

West Brom would charge a premium for their West Midlands rivals as they would be reluctant to lose a key player to a fellow Championship side.

This is one to watch as the summer drags on, but for now, Fellows is all about England and West Brom.
