West Brom fans ‘will be thrilled’ after Lankshear transfer update at Tottenham

Tottenham gem Will Lankshear spent the latter half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at West Brom.

The Tottenham striker was given few chances in a Baggies shirt, as he made 11 appearances during his loan spell.

During this time, the 20-year-old failed to register a goal or an assist. However, The Hawthorns faithful remain fans of the attacker.

Many West Brom fans want Mason to re-sign Lankshear this summer as he looks to take the Black Country club back to the Premier League.

West Brom want to re-sign Will Lankshear this summer

West Brom’s attack is in dire need of reinforcements this summer if they are to challenge for promotion.

Daryl Dike has failed to perform at West Brom consistently, while Josh Maja was the only player to hit double figures last season.

Therefore, new signings are needed, and according to Football London (25 June), West Brom are looking to re-sign Lankshear.

Now that Mason has joined the Baggies, he is looking to raid his former club to strengthen his squad for the upcoming season.

It is not said whether this would be on loan or a permanent deal, with many other Championship sides also in the race.

However, Thomas Frank wants to look at Lankshear closely this summer, meaning the Dane is likely to assess the striker in pre-season before making a decision.

However, the fact that an exit is a possibility, with Albion seemingly interested, will be music to the ears of many.

Lankshear could be a great back-up option for Mason

It is clear that Mason needs a back-up striker for the upcoming campaign, and Lankshear would be a great option.

The young attacker is well known by the manager, and he might be able to get the best out of the 20-year-old.

While his form at The Hawthorns wasn’t great last season, Mason will surely know how to utilise the striker and help him score goals.

In his few appearances for the Baggies, Lankshear showed plenty of potential, and he could prove to be a valuable asset.

However, Mason cannot look to sign the striker to be a starter as he is simply not good enough.
