West Brom fans in complete disagreement as new Hawthorns-inspired kit revealed

West Brom are entering a crucial period in their history as the club looks to build a new future.

With ambitions of returning to the Premier League after a four-year absence, new manager Ryan Mason is now at the helm and is tasked with leading that charge.

Mason brings a fresh perspective to the Black Country side, signalling a new direction for the West Midlands club both on and off the pitch.

It’s an exciting time to be an Albion fan, but supporters are not overly impressed with the latest kit reveal.

Albion supporters divided over tribute kit’s modern twist

West Brom have released their new home kit ahead of the upcoming Championship season – and it has sparked plenty of debate among the Albion fanbase.

The shirt pays tribute to the 125th anniversary of The Hawthorns and reflects the club’s rich history, featuring traditional black and white stripes alongside a unique sleeve design.

The club’s fans have taken to X to share both praise and criticism for the new kit, with some expressing disappointment over the design and others believing the club got it spot on.

One fan described it as a “brilliant” kit, for example, while another called it “awful,” highlighting the split in opinion across the fanbase.

Mason eyes reinforcements with board support expected this summer

The transfer window is in full swing, and West Brom are looking to back new manager Mason as he gears up for pre-season.

However, Profit and Sustainability Rules remain a concern for the club. Chairman Shilen Patel recently issued a statement, admitting the club is still “in the woods” when it comes to meeting the regulations.

As a result, Mason and his recruitment staff will need to be smart in the market and focus on bringing in the right players to strengthen the squad.

His first signing has already been confirmed, with defender Nat Phillips joining from Liverpool in a deal worth around £1million.

It’s a strong addition for the Baggies, adding both depth and quality to a defence that struggled at times last season.

The club are also eyeing further reinforcements, with Will Lankshear reportedly close to becoming the next player to make the move to the Black Country.

It’s an exciting time to be a Baggies fan, as the club heads into a new season full of hope – and with dreams of Premier League football returning to The Hawthorns.
