Barnsley want to sign Reyes Cleary as West Brom exit hint emerges
Reyes Cleary has been seen as a bright, upcoming player at West Brom.
The 21-year-old progressed through the Baggies’ academy and has made seven first-team appearances for the Black Country club to date.
Within this period, he has also had spells out on loan, with the forward playing for both Walsall and Hartlepool United last season.
However, with his contract set to expire at the end of June, speculation about his future at The Hawthorns has increased in recent weeks.

Barnsley showing interest in Cleary with exit seemingly confirmed
Cleary’s exit from West Brom has seemingly been confirmed recently.
The 21-year-old posted a farewell message to the Baggies in a post on Snapchat.
The forward wrote: “All good things come to an end” with an image of him in a West Brom jersey.
However, it does not look like it will take long for the youngster to find a new club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

West Brom insider, DOOD, posted on X (30 June), that Barnsley are showing interest in Cleary this summer.
If this goes through, it will see the 21-year-old move to League One, where he will be aiming for promotion back to the Championship.
Amount of West Brom academy players linked with departures is concerning
While West Brom are rumoured to make multiple exciting incomings this summer, the number of academy graduates linked with departures is concerning.
On top of Cleary, Caleb Taylor is subject to interest from Millwall after a successful loan spell at Wycombe.
Speculation over Tom Fellows’ future is also yet to cease after an impressive 2024/25 campaign.
West Brom academy players are meant to be the backbone of the Black Country club, with many being local to the area.
However, if Ryan Mason oversees multiple departures in this area, the manager would also be losing part of the club’s soul.
Hopefully, the Baggies are able to keep hold of some of these assets and will continue to give them game time this season.
