West Brom ‘ready to announce new transfer’ as medical now booked
West Brom are closing in on the second transfer of their Ryan Mason era.
After missing out on a spot in the playoffs last season, it is evident that the Baggies need to make the most of the summer transfer window and certainly need to back Mason.
Several players have been linked with a move to The Hawthorns, as Mason looks to assemble a squad capable of competing at the top of the Championship.
With that in mind, it seems as though one arrival could be imminent, with medical tests already booked in to follow Nat Phillips through the door.

Mason set to be given second West Brom signing
With a whole host of players already leaving West Brom this summer, including the likes of Semi Ajayi and Grady Diangana, Albion need to replace them and ensure that they add players who can improve the quality in the starting 11.
David Brooks is one to have been linked, as is Tottenham’s Mikey Moore, with DOOD reporting via X that a medical is now booked in for at least one new arrival.
Championship | W | D | L |
West Brom (9th) | 15 | 19 | 12 |
As to who that player is remains unknown, and as seen in the past, it could well be a player yet to have been mentioned at West Brom, though it serves as a cause for optimism.
With the PSR deadline upon us, the expectation is that plenty of movement will occur over the next few days, with West Brom getting involved.
West Brom need to make the most of summer window
The longer you stay in the Championship, the harder it becomes to get out of it, and West Brom will be fully aware of that this summer.
There comes a point where ambition needs to be shown, and after the appointment of Mason, and while taking into account the calibre of player linked with a move, it seems as though they are prepared to show plenty of it.
