West Brom ‘set to sign Stockport star Ethan Pye’ with double deal close
Ryan Mason could potentially have two fresh faces at West Brom soon, with one of them Stockport centre-back Ethan Pye.
The 22-year-old has been at the Greater Manchester outfit for four years now and played a pivotal role as they missed out on promotion after finishing third in League One.
Semi Ajayi left the Hawthorns as a free agent, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Baggies reinforce their defence in the coming weeks.

Pye may be on his way to The Hawthorns as West Brom Xtra have dropped a hint.
The Baggies’ insider wrote, “Who likes Pye then?” on X (30 June), suggesting the Baggies could potentially be working on the centre-back’s transfer, who won the League One outfit’s Young Player, Players’ Player and Player of the year award last season.

Bournemouth forward David Brooks was completing his medical to be an Albion player hours prior, and it’s possible the Stockport star will follow the Welshman’s signing.
When one Baggies fan on social media lauded the 27-year-old forward’s prospective signing, West Brom Xtra replied: “Wait until you see the other one. Top business in my opinion.”
