West Brom ‘set to sign Stockport star Ethan Pye’ with double deal close
Ryan Mason could potentially have two fresh faces at West Brom soon, with one of them Stockport centre-back Ethan Pye.
The 22-year-old has been at the Greater Manchester outfit for four years now and played a pivotal role as they missed out on promotion after finishing third in League One.
Semi Ajayi left the Hawthorns as a free agent, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Baggies reinforce their defence in the coming weeks.
Nat Phillips has become Mason’s first signing at the Albion, and they’re now close to making two more additions soon.

Pye transfer hint dropped at West Brom as David Brooks completes medical
Pye may be on his way to The Hawthorns as West Brom Xtra have dropped a hint.
The Baggies’ insider wrote, “Who likes Pye then?” on X (30 June), suggesting the Baggies could potentially be working on the centre-back’s transfer, who won the League One outfit’s Young Player, Players’ Player and Player of the year award last season.

Bournemouth forward David Brooks was completing his medical to be an Albion player hours prior, and it’s possible the Stockport star will follow the Welshman’s signing.
When one Baggies fan on social media lauded the 27-year-old forward’s prospective signing, West Brom Xtra replied: “Wait until you see the other one. Top business in my opinion.”
Bilkul Football look to transform West Brom ahead of next season
Brooks will be a statement signing for West Brom as the Wales international thrived in the Championship during his loan spell with Southampton in the 2023/24 season.
Phillips is another major coup for Mason as Bilkul Football hope to avoid the sorrows of the previous campaign.
The Baggies missed out on a play-offs spot last season after an underwhelming record under Tony Mowbray.
Shilen Patel will undoubtedly be looking to right his wrongs, and the Albion have started strong this summer transfer window.
West Brom will be back in action soon, as they face Dynamo Kyiv in a pre-season friendly on 11 July in Austria.
The Hawthorns faithful will hope for more quality additions at the Baggies in the coming weeks after the potential double deal for Brooks and Pye is concluded.
Mason needs to be backed in the ongoing transfer window to achieve success next season, and so far, the former Tottenham assistant manager can’t complain as Bilkul look to transfer the Albion with fresh faces.
