David Brooks set for instant transfer elsewhere after West Brom collapse
West Brom look set to miss out on David Brooks after a transfer fell through.
The Wales international looked set to complete a move to The Hawthorns on a season-long loan deal from Bournemouth.
After a difficult few years with the Cherries, a move to link up with Ryan Mason appeared to be an ideal opportunity for all parties this summer.
With that being said, it appears that the 27-year-old has had his head turned with a move elsewhere from B71 now on the cards.

Brooks set for new move after West Brom snub
The Baggies have already completed one move in the shape of Nat Phillips from Liverpool for a bargain fee at this early stage of the window.
It did appear as if the attacking midfielder was going to follow the centre-back through the door, but now that looks to be off.
This comes despite Brooks going through a medical in the Black Country over the weekend with a view to a temporary switch away from the Vitality.
An agreement was in place between Albion and Bournemouth, and even with the Welshman at the training ground, a deal has fallen through.
Now West Brom Xtra has reported (1 July) that another side is said to have swayed Brooks away from a move to B71 this summer.
This could see the ex-Sheffield United man line up in other colours next season, with the chance of potentially coming up against the Baggies in the Championship.
Brooks could join Birmingham City over West Brom
There is no guarantees as things stand of where the Cherries ace is going to land after turning down a move to the West Midlands.
With that being said, the attacker has also been linked with a move to local rivals Birmingham City, which could now be on the cards.
This would certainly represent a huge blow to the Baggies, who would have been hopeful of landing Brooks ahead of the second-tier campaign.
Stat | David Brooks |
Appearances | 147 |
Goals | 22 |
Assists | 17 |
Now, other options will have to be considered for Mason, especially with a deal for Lawrence Shankland also falling by the wayside.
It has been far from the dream start to the window for the former Tottenham man, who will once again have to lick his wounds and go back to the drawing board.
