West Brom ‘set to lose’ Onyemachi after new developments in Italy

West Brom are set to lose promising talent Divine Onyemachi.

Ryan Mason has been tasked with taking West Brom back to the Premier League, and they have made significant signings to try and achieve that goal.

The likes of Nat Phillips and Aune Heggebo have been brought in to try and change the Baggies’ fortunes and end their five-year stay in the Championship.

Shilen Patel and Co. have backed the inexperienced manager to be the one to take them back to the promised land.

West Brom set to lose Onyemachi

One man who will not be sticking around for the Mason revolution at The Hawthorns is the highly-rated youngster Onyemachi.

Lorenzo Lepore (9 July) claimed that he is set to leave the Baggies to join Italian club Leece.

He states that the deal is set to be completed in the coming weeks, and the winger will link up with their Primavera squad.

Onyemachi could be a huge loss

Onyemachi, who joined the Baggies in 2023, is a left-winger who can play anywhere across the front line.

The 17-year-old notched 22 goals and four assists in 50 appearances in the youth ranks but is now set to move on to a new adventure.

Reyes Cleary turned down a new deal and signed for Barnsley, and it may be a worrying sign that some of Albion’s most promising youngsters would rather leave than stick around.

Tom Fellows and Josh Griffiths have proven that there is a pathway to the first team from the academy that can be achieved in a relatively short time, and it is a shame that Onyemachi did not see the same vision.

If the Englishman was willing to wait, he may have enjoyed a similar rise to stardom as Fellows, but now Throstles’ supporters will have to watch to see if he can break into the Serie A outfit’s senior side rather than their own.

Only time will tell whether he has made the right decision or should have stayed in the West Midlands. But if he makes it to the top of the game, it will be a huge blow for the Black Country outfit.
