Mason ‘to land Styles upgrade’ as West Brom line up transfer swoop
Ryan Mason could be about to get an upgrade on Callum Styles as West Brom line up another transfer deal.
Styles has re-invented himself as a left-back in recent seasons and became a key figure on the left side of the Baggies’ defence last term, after arriving from Barnsley at the start of the campaign.
However, the 25-year-old has received criticism for his West Brom performances at times, and it now looks as though Mason could be about to sign a replacement.
Nat Phillips and Aune Heggebo are the only two new additions in B71 so far this summer, but that could be about to change with another deal seemingly on the horizon.

West Brom supporters sceptical about Jeffery Schlupp links
West Brom have been linked with a move to sign Jeffrey Schlupp in recent days, following the Ghanaian’s recent departure from Crystal Palace.
Schlupp finds himself without a club for the first time in several years, but the Baggies could be about to offer him a new home ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign.
Mason will surely be keen to bring in plenty of fresh faces as he takes the reins at The Hawthorns, and Schlupp could provide valuable experience to complement the promising young talents at West Brom.
The left-sided defender has made well over 250 appearances in the Premier League and has established himself as a reliable performer in the top flight over the years.

Now 32, it seems he could be in line to make the drop to the Championship this summer, but the recent links have received a mixed response from the Baggies faithful.
One fan expressed that Schlupp would be an upgrade on Styles in the left-back spot, while others feel his age provides plenty of cause for concern.
Schlupp could be a shrewd signing for West Brom
Schlupp may not be a glamorous signing, but he could be a decent option for Mason.
The veteran has plenty of nous to his game, having spent years at the top level of English football, and he has the potential to be a hugely effective addition in the Championship.
It is unclear what his potential wage demands would be, but the fact that he could be signed on a free transfer surely makes him an attractive option for Bilkul.
Mason will surely be keen to add greater experience to his group, and Schlupp could be the ideal man to provide that.
