West Brom round up: Attacker to ‘clear medical’ as £1m transfer close
Ryan Mason is casting his eyes over his West Brom squad as they put in the hard yards during pre-season.
The Baggies have been preparing for the new campaign at their training camp in Austria and have already played a couple of games.
After defeating Port Vale 2-0 in England, West Brom drew 1-1 with Ukrainian heavyweights Dynamo Kyiv in Austria.
Although several new signings have already arrived, there has been talk of further acquisitions at The Hawthorns.

Mikey Moore to clear West Brom medical if he moves from Tottenham
As happens with new managers, when news of Mason’s arrival at The Hawthorns became serious, speculation began to mount over Moore’s Spurs future.
Given that the 17-year-old will surely find playing time limited under Thomas Frank, a Championship loan would suit the forward.
Mikey Moore’s 2024/25 Premier League statistics | Total |
Appearances (starts) | 10 (3) |
Goals | 0 |
Assists | 1 |
Touches | 15.5 |

Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, exclusively told West Brom News that Moore would be expected to pass a Baggies medical.
While the West Midlands outfit reportedly made a loan offer for the teenager, a move has yet to accelerate.
West Brom’s close rivals, Birmingham City, have also been credited with interest in the Tottenham man.

Mason closes in on George Campbell signing at The Hawthorns
West Brom may have already signed a new centre back, but they may not be done strengthening that position.
Phillips signed for the Championship club from Liverpool, having spent last season on loan with Derby County.
Mason has four natural options in the hub of his defence, although half of those have been linked with moves away from The Hawthorns.
Kyle Bartley can reportedly leave West Brom if a high enough offer is made for the 34-year-old, while Millwall are interested in Caleb Taylor.
Now, the Baggies are closing in on the signing of George Campbell, who would only cost around £1million.
The American has been linked with a move to England before and could finally seal that switch with a move to the West Midlands.
