West Brom have £1.3million bid for Jin-Woo turned down

Jin-Woo is said to be interested in a move to Europe; however, the offer from the Baggies seems to have come too late, with the Korean transfer window shutting on 24 July.

The attacker met with the Jeonbuk manager Gus Poyet, with the former Sunderland boss convincing the 25-year-old to stay.

Romaine Sawyers spotted as Walsall trialist

33-year-old Romaine Sawyers has been on trial with League Two side Walsall just three years on from his time with the Baggies.

Sawyers was important in helping Albion to promotion to the Premier League in the 2020/21 campaign, but his career has dipped since.

The St Kitts and Nevis international was loaned out to Cardiff after struggling in the first tier before being released.

After falling down the leagues, the Sawyers could be set for a romantic return to Walsall nine years on, after journalist Steve Hermon spotted him on trial with the League Two side.

Nestor to help West Brom land George Campbell

Having already signed Nat Phillips, Mason looks set to add to his defence once more this summer.

Defence had been a key department to improve this summer, with the departure of Semi Ajayi compounded by Mason Holgate returning to parent club Everton.

The Baggies are now set to sign American defender George Campbell from Canadian side Montreal.

The Major League Soccer side are owned by Canadian businessman Joey Saputo, who is also the chairman of Serie A outfit Bologna.

Andrew Nestor is said to have close ties with Saputo, which will have proved handy in bringing Campbell to B71.

West Brom to battle Watford for Fini

Mason is keen to shift the focus onto signing an attacker in the coming weeks.

The Baggies were keen on South Korean forward Jin-Woo, but the winger now looks set to stay in his native country.

The Albion have now set their sights on bringing Genoa winger Seydou Fini to The Hawthorns.

Ben Jacobs has reported (17 July) that Watford, West Brom and Coventry are keen on the 19-year-old, who has been valued at £3-5million.

Fini has only featured minimally in the Serie A, but has impressed on loan at Dutch side Excelsior, where he managed four goals and five assists in 38 appearances.

Nestor could again use his ties in Italy to give the Baggies the advantage in the three-way race for the winger.
