West Brom next signing derailed thanks to Gus Poyet after bid submitted
West Brom have been looking to add to their attack and have been linked with a move for South Korean talent Jeon Jin-Woo.
West Brom still need attacking reinforcements after Grady Diangana’s exit at the end of last season.
In addition, Tom Fellows is expected to attract further interest as the Baggies approach the start of the season. Therefore, Ryan Mason must add more depth.
Jin-Woo has attracted interest from Europe this summer and is keen on a move, but Mason may now have to look elsewhere for a new attacker.

Gus Poyet urges Jin-Woo to stay, claiming better offers will come
West Brom have struggled to lure Jin-Woo away from Jeonbuk so far this summer.
According to Korean Joel Kim on X (18 July), Jeon has decided to stay put, with Gus Poyet urging him to trust that better offers will come.
He added that Poyet believes that the offers on the table don’t reflect his true value.

The winger is currently the K League’s top scorer, with 12 goals in 20 appearances.
Though the bids were met with firm interest from the winger, he now looks to be staying in his native country. With his current side Jeonbuk currently in a title race, and with the Korean transfer window shutting on 24 July, the South Korean side were understandably reluctant to let their star player leave.
Jin-Woo still has dreams of playing in Europe and could still move away from Korea in future transfer windows. Whether The Albion will return after recent revelations will remain to be seen, but for now, they must move on.
West Brom must look elsewhere for attacking signings
Recent revelations from Poyet seem to be the final nail in the coffin for The Albion in the race for Jin-Woo. Mason’s side now look to have turned their attention towards Genoa youngster Seydou Fini in a bid to strengthen their attack.
The Baggies hierarchy must move quickly to sign the youngster, with the start of the Championship now just weeks away.
