‘West Brom can swoop for Angus Gunn’ as PFA update emerges ahead of free transfer
West Brom could look to add Angus Gunn to their ranks this summer.
The Baggies are seemingly in need of a new goalkeeper, having struggled in between the sticks under Tony Mowbray last campaign.
Having lost Alex Palmer to Ipswich Town, the lack of true quality in net was clear for all to see, but that situation is yet to be resolved in B71.
With that in mind, the Albion could look to make an approach to land the Scotland international ahead of a return to Championship action.

Gunn central to PFA announcement
With Joe Wildsmith and Josh Griffiths as keeper options, there is, unfortunately, a general lack of faith in either from fans right now.
The latter arguably has a better backing from The Hawthorns faithful, given his young age and undoubted potential to become a future number one.
It is unclear whether the 23-year-old will be trusted moving into the new campaign, meaning a new goalkeeping signing would make total sense.
Even if that is the case, Ryan Mason may not have the funds available to pull off the sort of shot-stopper signing he may be keen on right now.
As a result, signing a highly experienced man like Gunn for free at West Brom could prove to be an underrated option this summer.
The 29-year-old remains a free agent after leaving Norwich City at the end of the campaign and is now featuring in the PFA pre-season at Champneys Springs.
To see the Scot remaining active despite being without a club proves the sort of character that the Baggies could add to their roster without having to pay a fee.

West Brom could make smart Gunn move
There is absolutely zero risk in signing a free agent, and sometimes these sorts of deals seek to benefit all parties involved.
That could prove to be the case with a move for the ex-Manchester City youngster, who is highly experienced at Championship level.
Stat (Championship) | Angus Gunn |
Appearances | 166 |
Clean sheets | 48 |
There may be some reservations around some high-profile errors from the Scotland number one, but his experience could prove to be highly valuable, especially with George Campbell joining the backline.
Many fans want to see a new keeper come through The Hawthorns’ doors, and for nothing, the Baggies could go much further wrong than Gunn right now.
