West Brom news round-up: Fans amazed by announcement as Moore update drops
West Brom will face Lincoln City on Saturday as they continue their preparations for the Championship’s return.
With the season opener just over two weeks away, the Baggies are hoping to further bolster Ryan Mason’s options in the coming days.
Aune Heggebo, Nat Phillips and George Campbell have already arrived at The Hawthorns. However, West Brom are still lacking in depth in certain areas of the squad.
Here, West Brom News rounds up all the latest updates from the West Midlands.

West Brom fans respond to kit announcement
West Brom have released their new third kit for the 2024/25 season to mixed reactions.
The shirt is a mix of black and grey with red detailing, including a shade of red covering the badge in its entirety.
One Baggies fan loved the kit, calling it “stunning”, whilst others were harder to impress, with one describing the shirt as “boring and unoriginal.”
West Brom’s pursuit of Jamal Lewis questioned
West Brom are interested in a move for free agent Jamal Lewis this summer.
The full-back left Newcastle United at the end of the season after a frustrating five-year spell in the North East saw him make just 36 appearances.
Season | Games missed through injury |
24/25 | 16 |
21/22 | 14 |
17/18 | 17 |
Lewis undoubtedly possesses quality. However, the potential move has been questioned given the Northern Irishman’s poor injury record.
Mikey Moore move on the cards after Tottenham agreement
West Brom have been linked with Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore this summer.
It has been reported that Spurs have agreed to let the 17-year-old leave on loan this summer.
Moore has attracted interest from Birmingham City as well as West Brom. However, Mason’s relationship with the forward from his time at Spurs could hand the Baggies an edge in negotiations.
