West Brom to move for Moore in hours as strong push made for Tottenham sensation

West Brom have been linked with Tottenham sensation Mikey Moore, but a deal could be difficult.

Ryan Mason knows Moore well from his time at Spurs, and is well aware that the attacker is regarded as the best prospect in their academy.

West Brom need reinforcements in attack, whether on permanent or loan deals, and despite his age, Moore would add a lot of firepower to the side.

A deal makes a lot of sense given Mason’s connection to the teenager, but West Brom will need to move quickly if they are to beat other interested clubs to his signature.

Moore wanted by English and Scottish clubs

A loan move to the Championship could be the next step for Moore’s development, but he could also be tempted to move north to Scotland.

Celtic and possibly Rangers could offer Champions League football, as well as playing time, to the talented youngster, and they could both be good environments for his development.

Moore is an outstanding young talent

This would come as a blow to West Brom, who would consider themselves front-runners given the appointment of Mason, and a new development over Moore will now worry Baggies fans.

Lilywhite Rose has now reported via X (25 July) that while several Championship clubs are keen on Moore, “Scottish Giants” are also making a strong push for the winger.

This could refer to either Rangers or Celtic, as it is suggested that the interested party might have UEFA Champions League football to offer.

West Brom cannot waste time over Moore

If West Brom are keen on Moore, they will need to move for him in the coming days before anyone else does, given the level of interest in him.

Rangers have already begun their Champions League qualifying campaign, while the Championship is just weeks away from restarting.

The Baggies will either need to move quickly to convince Moore to reject all other interest and join as soon as possible, or move on to other targets.

Aune Heggebo is the only attacking signing so far, and depth out wide is currently threadbare in Mason’s squad, making a deal for Moore even more necessary.

Moore has already made 21 appearances for the senior Tottenham side at the age of 17 and is widely regarded as a potential top-class talent in the future.
