Karlan Grant to remain at West Brom after fresh transfer failure
Karlan Grant had been linked with an exit from West Brom this summer.
In just over a week, West Brom will return to Championship action, and it is fair to say that the preparation has been underwhelming so far.
The transfers made have certainly been good ones, but the lack of them will cause concern at The Hawthorns, especially given the pressure on the Baggies to improve next season.
Bolstering the attack has seemingly been a priority for Ryan Mason this summer, but the latest news will serve as a negative for West Brom, though a positive for Grant.

Mikey Moore update serves as good news for Grant
West Brom made no secret of their desire to sign Mikey Moore this summer, though those efforts were subdued with a move to Rangers now looking likely.
Thankfully, Mikey Johnston’s failed move to Flamengo means he is still at the club, and it’s likely to have a similar effect for Grant.

He had been mooted for an exit from West Brom this summer, but his ability to play on the left wing will see Albion almost certainly block a transfer now.
That is, until they can secure a different winger, though at this stage in the summer, it remains to be seen if that is still in the plans for the Baggies.

Mason will be frustrated at the Baggies
Mason will be aware of the task that awaits him this season and will have been hoping for many new arrivals to boost his chances of success.
That is yet to come, though time is still somewhat on West Brom’s side to rectify that.
The transfer window closes at the start of September, meaning the Baggies still have over a month to secure new arrivals, though in an ideal scenario, they would be in before the season starts.
