Mikey Moore to join Rangers – Three wingers West Brom could sign instead

Ryan Mason will have to assess his options as a move for Mikey Moore is ruled out for West Brom.

Mason was given a boost by his former club when Moore was left out of Tottenham’s travelling pre-season squad (27 July) to focus on securing a loan deal.

However, Michael Bridge has reported (28 July) that the England Under-19 international has chosen to join Rangers after rejecting multiple proposals from Championship sides.

The development leaves Mason having to reassess his summer plans as West Brom News selects three wingers the Baggies could sign instead of Moore.

Tyrique George – Chelsea

Chelsea have opened the door to Tyrick George’s potential arrival at The Hawthorns, as he was made available by the Premier League side this summer.

The Blues academy product had a breakthrough season in West London, making 26 appearances across all competitions and playing in every game until the final en route to Chelsea winning the UEFA Conference League.

The versatile forward is capable of playing across the front line, though he favours the left wing position, and is known for his speed and dribbling abilities.

He would be a welcome addition to Mason’s squad, who could look to sign the England Under-19 international on loan.

Jeon Jin-Woo – Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors

Genk and West Brom had a bid rejected for Jeon Jin-Woo this summer, as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors did not want to sell their star player mid-season.

The 25-year-old is currently the top scorer in the K-League as his side sit top of the league with just over a third of the season remaining.

Jeonbuk Hyundai manager Gus Poyet convinced Jeon to stay, reportedly expressing that better offers would come the South Korea international’s way in the future.

However, the talented wide forward has ambitions to play in Europe, and could potentially be tempted by a move to the West Midlands if they were to return with an improved offer.

Yang Min-hyeok – Tottenham

Despite Moore snubbing a move to the Black Country, Mason will not give up hope of signing players from his former club and could push for a move for Yang Min-hyeok.

The fleet-footed winger joined Spurs in January last season, before being sent to Queens Park Rangers on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Yang made a good account of himself in the Championship, appearing 14 times for the Hoops and scoring two goals while displaying moments of excitement when dribbling with the ball.

The 19-year-old predominantly plays on the right, but is equally capable on the left and would give Mason some real impetus on the flanks if he can convince the South Korean to join this summer.
