‘Massive’ – EFL make new West Brom and Wrexham announcement ahead of upcoming game
West Brom supporters are counting down the days until they can see their side back in Championship action.
The Baggies kick off their campaign against Blackburn Rovers at The Hawthorns in what will be Ryan Mason’s first competitive game as Baggies boss.
Mason has endured a tricky pre-season with West Brom, having failed to win a single game so far.
However, now Albion fans have something else to look forward to after the latest EFL reveal.

West Brom clash with Wrexham to be shown live on ITV
West Brom supporters were understandably raging with Sky Sports regarding their kick-off times next season.
The increase in televised games means that the Baggies have a host of fixtures at irregular times.
Mason has lined up more signings at The Hawthorns and will want them through the door in time to play Blackburn.
After their encounter with Rovers, Albion will travel to Wrexham on 16 August for their first away game of the campaign.

Now, the EFL confirmed on Thursday (31 July) that the game will be shown live on ITV, with the kick-off pencilled for 12:30pm.
The fixture had already been chosen for television coverage by Sky Sports, but it will now be simulcast with ITV too.
Albion and Wrexham have not played each other since 1971, when the West Midlands outfit were triumphant in a 2-1 win at the Racecourse Ground.
Supporters of the Baggies have been reacting to the announcement on social media, with one boasting of being a “massive club”.
Wrexham to provide true test to Mason
After three successive promotions, it would be silly to write off the Red Dragons next season.
However, the Championship is a different beast, and Phil Parkinson’s side will be truly tested in the second tier.
As for West Brom, they are a bit of an unknown entity, given the substantial change at The Hawthorns.
Mason is inexperienced in the role of manager, and there are several fresh faces through the Albion doors.
The early-season matches can throw up some interesting results, and this one will certainly be worth a watch on terrestrial television.
