Tottenham fans believe Donley is West Brom-bound as transfer now agreed
Ryan Mason’s connections to Tottenham have seen West Brom linked with multiple players from his former club.
Mason was brought to The Hawthorns from Spurs this summer after a successful period as an assistant coach in North London.
Stars such as Mikey Moore have been linked to West Brom. However, as of 1 August, no Spurs players have made their way to the Black Country club, with Moore joining Rangers on a season-long loan.
Yet, this could all be about to change, with Jamie Donley set for a move to the Championship.
Donley exit now agreed at Tottenham
Donley was linked to West Brom back in May, but nothing came of these rumours.
The attacking midfielder spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Leyton Orient.
The 20-year-old was one match away from helping the London club get to the Championship before they were defeated in the playoff final by Charlton Athletic.
Now, Spurs are looking to provide the youngster with further first-team experience, with Tottenham youth insider Lilywhite Rose reporting (1 August) that Donley is set to move to a Championship club.
Rumours have gone wild on which team are set to sign the attacking midfielder, with many Tottenham fans insisting he is set for a move to The Hawthorns.
How good is Donley?
In Donley’s first real test of first-team football, the 20-year-old shone at Leyton Orient. The attacking midfielder netted eight times and picked up 10 assists in 42 matches.
On Sofascore (1 August), this earned Donley an average rating of 7.12 in the third tier.

Therefore, there is no doubt that Donley would be a massive player for Mason this season if he were to arrive at The Hawthorns.
