West Brom to generate £1.5m+ after Daryl Dike announcement
Daryl Dike has had a troubled career at West Brom.
Dike joined the Baggies back in the 2021/22 season, and despite high hopes at The Hawthorns, things have not gone as planned.
The USMNT international striker has made just 43 appearances in that time, while scoring just nine goals.
Seven of those arrived in his second season in the Midlands, showing just how little he has contributed over the last two years at West Brom.
With that said, yet another update has emerged on the 25-year-old, and for those of a West Brom persuasion, it is more bad news.

Dike ruled out until September
Injuries have plagued Dike’s time as a West Brom player, and that doesn’t look likely to change anytime soon after the Baggies announced on Friday (1 August) that he would be out of action until after the September international break.
Dike will be joined by Tammer Bany in the treatment room, who will also return after undergoing a rehabilitation programme for injuries sustained in pre-season.
West Brom | Games | Goals | Assists |
Dike | 43 | 9 | 2 |
As for Dike, it seems almost nailed on that the Baggies will try and find an exit route for the striker, and if they succeed in that this summer, they would save a fortune.
Via Capology, the 25-year-old earns a reported £32,000 per week, and with his contract running out at the end of June next year, an early termination would see Albion save over £1.5million, not including any potential transfer fee.

West Brom must pursue more attacking arrivals
With Dike ruled out, Devante Cole mooted for an exit, and Josh Maja only just returning from a long-term injury, there is a lot of pressure on Karlan Grant and, in particular, Aune Heggebo to deliver.
If promotion is the goal, the weight needs to be lifted off their shoulders with another attacking signing, though, with the season due to start next weekend, time is running out.
West Brom have until 1 September to secure any more summer signings, and it seems quite apparent that they need to take advantage of that.
