Ryan Mason to get on the phone to Tottenham as Thomas Frank makes transfer call
West Brom boss Ryan Mason could now get in touch with his former club, Tottenham.
Mason has had a rocky start to life at West Brom after taking over at The Hawthorns.
However, after a disappointing string of pre-season games, things seem to be looking up for him after a 3-2 victory against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday (2 August).
But performances on the pitch do not seem to be the only positive step, with Mason now expected to make a call to some familiar friends after recent developments at Tottenham.

Tottenham make several young players available on loan
Mason dedicated seven years to coaching at Tottenham before stepping away in an effort to write his own story.
While he may be a huge loss for the Lilywhites, his commitment has seen him highly favoured among their ranks. As a result, there is no doubt that he could be trusted to help develop some of their younger players.
As reported by Football London on Monday (4 August), Luka Vuskovic, Jamie Donley, Will Lankshear, George Abbott, Yang Min-hyeok, and Tyrese Hall have all been made available for loan alongside Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine.
Player | Age | Loan To | Loan Ends |
Mikey Moore | 17 | Rangers | 31 May 2026 |
Ashley Phillips | 20 | Stoke City | 31 May 2026 |
Alejo Veliz | 21 | Rosario Central | 30 June 2026 |
The North London club have made this decision to ensure these players get the gametime necessary to continue their development. Agreeing to a Championship loan under a manager who has close ties with Tottenham would likely appeal to chairman Daniel Levy.
This is not the first time that a Spurs player has been linked to West Brom under Mason. Indeed, it was believed that Mikey Moore could land at The Hawthorns before he ultimately decided to spend the season at Rangers.
But with Championship hopes in the back of his mind, it would not be a surprise if Thomas Frank receives a call from Mason in the coming days.
West Brom should look to sign at least one Tottenham gem on loan
There would be a lot for Tottenham to gain if Albion agreed to a loan move for some of their youngsters, but it would be a mutually beneficial agreement.
Indeed, Spurs have some incredible talents on their roster, including Vuskovic, who has been hailed as a world-class talent by supporters. Adding this level of potential to an already impressive West Brom side could boost their chances in the Championship next season.
Therefore, there is no doubt that Mason should be all over this opportunity.
