West Brom make ‘significant’ Fellows demand amid Southampton talk
Tom Fellows was a standout performer for West Brom last season, and the Baggies will need him on top form again.
Albion endured an underwhelming end to a season that promised so much under Carlos Corberan.
Fellows has been linked with an exit from The Hawthorns and has admirers in the Premier League.
Now, there has been a significant update on the West Midlands club’s stance ahead of the Championship opener.

West Brom would only consider a sizeable Fellows bid
If Fellows were to depart West Brom, then the Baggies would ned to consider viable alternatives to the midfielder.
The 22-year-old is a valuable asset for Albion as he came through the academy, meaning any money generated for him would be regarded as pure profit.
However, given his quality, Ryan Mason will want to hold on to him for the forthcoming season.
- Fellows came through the academy
- He was the leading assist maker last season in the Championship
- Would garner pure profit if sold
There have been reports of Everton’s interest in Fellows. If the Toffees land Tyler Dibling, then it has been said that Southampton could move for the West Brom gem instead.
However, despite speculation on social media linking Fellows with a move to Southampton, Albion have received no official bids at this stage, according to Dood (6 August).
Furthermore, the former journalist and secret football agent says that it would take a “significant offer” for the Baggies to even consider a sale.
Albion must keep Fellows at all costs
While it seems that Fellows’ future in the West Midlands could hinge on others, West Brom should take a firm stance.
Last season, the midfielder made 18 goal contributions in the Championship, including 14 assists, only matched by Portsmouth’s Josh Murphy.
Player | Assists |
Tom Fellows | 14 |
Josh Murphy | 14 |
Jack Rudoni | 12 |
Moreover, the 22-year-old could have Josh Maja and Aune Heggebo to supply this term, meaning he can improve on those hefty numbers.
If Southampton do lose Dibling, then they will be armed with significant funds and will require a quality replacement. On the face of it, it makes sense that the Saints could turn to Fellows, although that is pure speculation right now.
As it stands, Fellows is Albion, and he is primed to continue his legacy at The Hawthorns.
