Ryan Mason excited to work with two West Brom stars, one is strongly linked with exit
Ryan Mason is set to lead West Brom into a new era when they open their 2025/26 Championship campaign on Saturday.
The former Tottenham academy coach will enter competitive action with his new squad for the first time, as Blackburn Rovers are their visitors on the opening day of the season.
West Brom have had a frustrating pre-season as Mason finds his feet in B71, but a level of positivity was restored by their 3-2 win over Rayo Vallencano in their final pre-season outing.
The new boss will have learned a lot about the options that he has at his disposal, and he has already identified two key stars who could help him achieve his ambitions for the team.

Mason is excited to work with Tom Fellows
Tom Fellows’ future at West Brom has been at the centre of plenty of speculation this summer, as Everton have shown an interest in signing the winger.
The Toffees have also been pursuing Tyler Dibling from Southampton, but with that chase having now seemingly broken down, they may be tempted to turn their attention back to the Baggies’ starlet.
- Fellows notched 14 assists last term, the joint most of any Championship player
- He was recently part of the England U21 squad that won the Euros
- Fellows has been attracting sustained interest from Everton for several months
However, the West Midlands outfit are believed to only be open to selling the wideman if they receive a significant offer that makes it worthwhile for them.
That stance will be music to the ears of Mason, who is understood to be excited about the prospect of working with Fellows, alongside promising midfielder Isaac Price, according to The Telegraph (7 August).
Price emerged as a star for the Baggies in the latter stages of the previous campaign, and the pair should represent a tantalising creative duo for the boss, provided Fellows doesn’t move elsewhere.

West Brom may have surprise package in Isaac Price
Price showed glimpses of the quality that he can provide for West Brom last term after his move from Standard Liege in January, and he could be ready to hit an entirely new level this time around.
He is already a crucial figure for Northern Ireland on the international stage by the age of 21, and he possesses a level of quality that could make him undroppable for Mason as the season goes on.
The attacking midfielder breaks opposition lines with ease, and his level of vision is capable of completely unlocking games.
Price has still made just 15 competitive appearances for the Baggies, but there have already been concerns about how long it will be before Premier League clubs start taking a serious interest.
Between him and England U21 international Fellows, Mason has a pair of starlets that will be integral to his team’s success this season.
