West Brom could plot sensational Richard Kone move after fresh asking price revealed
West Brom could sign Wycombe striker Richard Kone this summer.
Ryan Mason‘s side have already signed Aune Heggebo to bolster their attacking options, but he does not have experience in the English game.
Josh Maja and Daryl Dike cannot be relied upon, as they were injured for the majority of the last campaign, in which the Baggies missed out on a playoff spot.
If Mason wants to lead Albion back to the Premier League, he needs another number nine before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

West Brom could be the Championship club that will bid for Kone
The Hawthorns outfit needs a new striker, and the League One hitman would fit the bill.
Sky Sports journalist Ron Walker claimed that Wycombe are set to drop the asking price for Kone to £3million with add-ons on 7 August.
He stated that a promotion-chasing second-tier club is expected to make a bid for the attacker who missed the Chairboys’ opening day defeat to Bradford City.
Kone would be perfect for West Brom
Kone notched 18 goals and three assists in 41 appearances in the third-tier last season, and looks destined for greater things after that stunning return.
- Arrived in England in 2019 to play in the Homeless World Cup
- Played for Essex Senior League side Athletic Newman from 2019-2024
- Had a trial with Wycombe in 2023, signed in January 2024
If the Baggies are the unnamed club that are interested in the Ivorian, they will need to act fast to secure his signature, as there is competition from the likes of Leicester and Ipswich Town.
Those teams are also expected to compete at the top of the division, so Shilen Patel and Co. need to jump ahead of their rivals if they want to sign the 22-year-old.
The Throstles may be in a difficult position if they cannot add a new forward to their ranks, and the potential departure of star centre-back Torbjorn Heggem could make things worse.
It is absolutely crucial that Bilkul Football put Mason in the best possible position for the upcoming campaign, his first in management after interim roles with Tottenham, otherwise it may not go well.
Albion may find themselves in a similar position to what they were this summer, which is the opposite of where they want to be.
