Torbjorn Heggem could be on his way out of West Brom in the coming weeks.

The Norway defender moved to the Hawthorns last summer and after a year of being a first-team regular, he may part ways with the club.

Since joining the Baggies, Heggem has even made his international debut and has taken his career to the next level.

Bologna have made a bid to sign Heggem

According to Tutto Bologna Web, Bologna are keen on the 26-year-old and even tabled a £5.2million bid for the centre-back.

The Italian news outlet reported on 8 August that there is room for further negotiations and a higher offer.

The Baggies are open to a sale but want more than what the Serie A club have offered thus far.

Big add-ons could also be tied in to the tune of £1.73million in order to make the deal go ahead.

The two sides are locked in negotiations and the difference in valuations is not too vast.

West Brom need to make some signings

West Brom urgently need to sign new players to bolster their squad for the 2025/26 Championship season, as their current transfer activity has been limited, with only three first-team signings.

The potential sale of Heggem could provide crucial funds to address squad weaknesses, particularly in defence and attack.

After a shaky pre-season defensively, Ryan Mason requires reinforcements to maintain promotion hopes.

Selling Heggem, despite his value, could enable West Brom to balance their books and invest in replacements to strengthen the team for a competitive campaign.

It remains to be seen how many more players arrive through the door, but it is impertative that the owners back Mason and help him build a side ready to challenge for promotion.
