What West Brom games Darnell Furlong will miss after red card v Blackburn
West Brom got off to a flying start in their 2025/26 Championship campaign with a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Isaac Price scored the only goal of the game early on to give Ryan Mason a winning start at the Baggies.
Multiple West Brom players impressed against Blackburn as fans dream of promotion to the Premier League.
However, one disappointing aspect of the afternoon was no doubt Darnell Furlong’s late red card.
As a result, West Brom News has highlighted which games the right-back will miss after he was given his marching orders.

Darnell Furlong to only miss West Brom vs Derby County
While Furlong’s second yellow against Blackburn may appear harsh, it was no doubt reckless given the fact he was already on a booking.
Thankfully, this did not have an impact on the match. However, he is now set to serve a one-match suspension.

Luckily for West Brom and Mason, suspensions in the Championship also carry over into the Carabao Cup.
Therefore, the only match the Furlong is set to be suspended for is the upcoming tie against Derby on Tuesday in the cup.

Deago Nelson to be full West Brom debut against Derby?
With Furlong out of action for the Derby match, West Brom do not have a natural back-up in the first team.
Therefore, academy star Deago Nelson could be given his full West Brom debut against the East Midlands side.
The right-back made his first senior appearance last season, coming off the bench against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup.

Since then, Nelson has featured on the bench multiple times, but is yet to reemerge onto the pitch.
However, given the lack of right-back options at Mason’s disposal, the 19-year-old may well get the nod to start at The Hawthorns on Tuesday.
