Isaac Price ‘perfection’ as West Brom star hailed for what he did vs Derby
West Brom were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday on penalties after a 1-1 draw against Derby County.
It was a bizarre match, with the Baggies completely dominating the East Midlands side throughout.
Therefore, it was no surprise when Aune Heggebo gave West Brom the lead just after the hour mark.
However, with seconds remaining Joe Ward managed to convert a free-kick before Derby County won the match on penalties.
However, there were still positives from the match, including Isaac Price’s performance.

Despite the defeat, there were plenty of excellent West Brom performances against Derby.
Price was no doubt one of the best players on the pitch, and he continued his fine early-season form.
With the scoreline deadlocked, Price had the intelligence to knock down the ball to Heggebo inside the box to ensure the striker could not miss.
Adrian Clarke on Sky Sports+ was quick to praise the attacker on 12 August, claiming his pass was “perfection”.
The former Arsenal player said: “You can’t say West Brom don’t deserve this, it is a lovely little flick from Callum Styles, and the knock down from Price is perfection.
“He doesn’t have to break stride, he is playing with his head, and sets that up lovely for Heggebo, who can’t really miss.
“It was a lovely triangle there from the Baggies, and they have finally made a breakthrough.”
Price vs Derby County
Likened to Kevin De Bruyne, Price has been excellent so far for Mason early into the manager’s reign.
The Northern Ireland international has easily been the Baggies’ best player in their first two matches, and he dominated proceedings against Derby.
As of 12 August, Fotmob gave Price a 7.7 rating, the second highest on the field, and it is easy to see why.

On top of his assist, the attacker did little wrong and should not have been on the losing side.
Mason has already identified Price as a player who is excited to worked with.
Hopefully, Price will be able to continue this form going into the rest of the season as West Brom look to now concentrate on promotion.
