West Brom transfers state of play: Confirmed moves and potential late deals still to be struck

West Brom have drastically overhauled their squad over the summer.

When Ryan Mason was appointed, it was clear that the Baggies were heading in a new direction under a young and exciting manager.

This new approach was mirrored when it came to the new arrivals at The Hawthorns, as well as those who were allowed to depart.

With two wins and a draw from Mason’s first three Championship games in charge, it’s hard to argue with the results so far, and there could be more business that is still to be carried out by Shilen Patel and Co.

All of the players West Brom have bought and sold this summer

With the way Tony Mowbray and Albion’s previous campaign ended, there was a lot of negativity coming from those in the Black Country.

However, after Mason and his new-look West Brom side’s positive start, this is no longer the case.

Five new signings have followed Mason to The Hawthorns, with the most expensive of the bunch being Norwegian striker Aune Heggebo.

Alongside the exciting new arrivals, West Brom also made difficult decisions when it came to parting ways with multiple key first-team players, with many of them being released.

Along with his new signings, Mason has already shown the ability to improve the players he has at his disposal, with Isaac Price’s fantastic start to the season being a fine example of this.

More potential signings on the way before deadline day

With reports suggesting West Brom are eyeing up another two or three signings before the window closes on 1 September, it would appear that Albion are still in the market for more players.

Glen Kamara has been linked with a return to England and more specifically, the Black Country.

If Filip Beckman were to sign, this could signal the end of Caleb Taylor’s spell at Albion

The Baggies could also look to do more business with Liverpool this summer by signing James McConnell to bolster Mason’s options in midfield.
