What West Brom fans can expect on deadline day – ins, outs and done deals
West Brom could be in for a busy transfer deadline day, with incomings and departures possible.
Ryan Mason has had an impressive start to life at the Baggies, with the Black Country club currently second in the Championship table.
However, the manager is not set to rest on his laurels, with further additions expected in the last two days of the window.
As a result, West Brom News has rounded up everything that Baggies fans can expect before the 7pm deadline on 1 September.
Done Deals
One of West Brom’s most recent signings is Chris Mepham, with the centre-back starting in the 1-0 victory over the Potters on Saturday.
Partnering the Wales international was Nat Phillips, another addition who had a great performance against Stoke City.
On top of this, Alfie Gilchrist was the latest signing to come through the door at The Hawthorns, while Aunne Heggebo and George Campbell have also impressed early on.
Krystian Bielik and Toby Collyer are the Baggies’ two other additions, with the latter being on loan from Manchester United.
Ins – Leo Scienza and Ben Nelson
In the search for Tom Fellows’ replacement, who has now left West Brom, the Baggies are considering a move for Leon Scienza.
The Brazilian winger currently plays for FC Heidenheim in the Bundesliga and impressed in the last campaign.
As a result, West Brom opened talks to sign Scienza, according to reports on Friday, and it remains to be seen if the Baggies get the deal over the line.

- The 26-year-old joined Heidenheim last year from Ulm.
In defence, West Brom are considering a move for Ben Nelson.
The Leicester City defender spent last season on loan to Oxford United, helping the U’s to stay in the Championship.
It had been thought that Leicester would be open to letting Nelson leave, given their situation with Financial Fair Play.
However, given West Brom’s recent signings as well as their stability at the back, it remains to be seen if they make a move for the 21-year-old.
Outs – Mikey Johnston and Isaac Price
Mikey Johnston was extremely close to leaving West Brom earlier this summer for Flamengo.
While the deal eventually fell through, it was clear that Mason was prepared to let the winger go.
Therefore, a late loan move could emerge for the 26-year-old before the transfer window slams shut.

On top of this, it would be naive to believe that Isaac Price will have no interest going into the final days of the window.
The 21-year-old has had a sensational start to the new campaign and has already picked up four goal contributions in four Championship matches.
While Price is expected to stay at West Brom this window, it’d be a shock if no interest is shown despite the lack of reports of a potential departure.
