West Brom now in hunt to seal surprise Wolves loan deal before deadline
West Brom could now add one more addition to Ryan Mason’s squad before the transfer window shuts.
Mason has welcomed several players to The Hawthorns since becoming head coach.
West Brom signed Aune Heggebo from Brann earlier in the window, and George Campbell joined from Montreal as another centre-back signing.
Toby Collyer’s debut against Wrexham was enough to impress Manchester United fans. Meanwhile, Nat Phillips looks on track to become an important player for the Baggies.
However, Albion have not closed the doors on the transfer window yet and now look to take full advantage of its final hours.

West Brom want to sign Sasa Kalajdzic from Wolves on loan
As reported by Alex Crook via X on Monday 1 September, West Brom are looking to sign Sasa Kalajdzic from Wolves on loan.
However, this move comes with heightened risk given he is just back from his third serious knee injury.
This would follow Aston Villa’s Samuel Iling-Junior who West Brom announced will spend the season at The Hawthorns.
Kalajdzic is a foward. However, following Iling-Junior’s loan move, West Brom fans are convinced Tom Fellows needs to be replaced.
Nevertheless, if he lands at Albion, there is no doubt supporters will be eager to see what he can bring.
What is Sasa Kalajdzic’s injury record?
The 28-year-old has suffered three ACL injuries during his playing career and has struggled to remain fit throughout.
His most recent major knee injury came during the 2023/24 season, which saw him miss 52 games for both club and country.
- His previous ACL injury was during the 2022/23 season, which saw him sidelined for 43 matches.
- The 2021/22 season saw him sidelined for 24 games with a shoulder injury.
- Kalajdzic’s first ACL injury came during the 2019/20 season.
If Kalajdzic does arrive at West Brom this season, there is a high chance he’ll be spending most of the time watching from the sidelines. However, with Mason already succeeding with the tools at his disposal, the Baggies could see this as a risk worth taking.
