Isaac Price leaves bystanders ‘gutted’ as West Brom star caught in ‘crazy’ moment
West Brom’s player’s are having a busy international break, with eight of them being called up to play for their country.
This comes as a reward for West Brom’s good start under Ryan Mason, as the Baggies sit second in the Championship.
Isaac Price has been particularly outstanding, earning yet another call up to the Northern Ireland squad.

Isaac Price misses penalty in Northern Ireland win
Northern Ireland travelled to Luxembourg as they looked to kick off their World Cup qualifying campaign with a win.
Stevenage’s Jamie Reid went through on goal early in the match and Northern Ireland awarded a penalty, as VAR spotted a handball from Luxembourg’s Seid Korac.
Price stepped up and struck a tame penalty to goalkeeper Antony Moris’ left, but Reid followed in quickly to finish home the rebound.
Former international Gerry Armstrong described the fans’ reaction as ‘crazy’ as Northern Ireland made the perfect start.

Whilst Price will be disappointed, he still has a fantastic record for his country, scoring nine goals in 23 appearances.
Northern Ireland eventually ran out 3-1 winners and look to secure World Cup qualification for the first time since 1986.

Isaac Price’s availability a key factor for West Brom’s promotion hopes
Price has been near unstoppable this season, featuring in every single game for West Brom.
Match | Goals | Assists |
Blackburn: 1-0 W | 1 | 0 |
Derby County: 1-1 D (EFL Cup loss on penalties) | 0 | 1 |
Wrexham: 2-3 W | 2 | 0 |
Portsmouth: 1-1 D | 0 | 1 |
Stoke City: 0-1 W | 0 | 0 |
Price joined West Brom in January, costing the Baggies £2.5m from Belgium’s Standard Liege.
In the second half of 2024/25, he featured in 15 Championship games, showcasing his availability from the off.
During his years at Standard Liege, he rarely missed a game, and this even dates back to his days in the Everton youth set up, starting 35 games for the Everton Academy in 2022/23.
With promotion being the aim for West Brom, Price will need to remain available for the foreseeable future.
